The Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching released an enhanced version of the Networked Improvement Learning and Support (NILS) platform on January 29, 2021.
Enhancements in the January 2021 2.0 NILS Release:

Guided PDSA:
The Guided PDSA feature has been updated as follows:
- Completed PDSAs can be edited by the author.
- Quantitative data collected in the Do section can be viewed as a run chart, assuming that at least two data points and consistent variable names are entered.
- Plan text boxes for Logistics and Supplies and Materials can be resized to accommodate large amounts of text.
- Numerical Do fields for quantitative data entry are titled “Quantity.”

Freeform PDSA:
The Freeform PDSA feature has been updated as follows:
- Completed PDSAs can be edited by the author.

Change Idea Page:
The Change Idea page has been updated as follows:
- The leftmost column of the Change Idea PDSA table shows a “Created” date for the PDSA cycle.
How is this different from the previous version?
- Guided PDSA
- Completed Guided PDSAs can now be edited by the PDSA author.
- Quantitative data collected in the Do section can now be viewed as a graphical run chart.
- Plan text boxes for Logistics and Supplies and Materials can now be resized.
- Numerical Do fields for quantitative data entry have been retitled “Quantity,” from “Data.”
- Freeform PDSA
- Completed Freeform PDSAs can now be edited by the PDSA author.
- Change Idea Page
- The PDSA cycle number has been replaced by the PDSA creation date on the change idea’s PDSA table, to replicate the view on the Find PDSAs page.
