NILS 2.4.26 Release Notes - 6/22/20

The Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching released an enhanced version of the Networked Improvement Learning and Support (NILS) platform on June 22, 2020.

Enhancements in the June 2020 2.0 NILS Release:

  • PDSA:

The Guided PDSA feature has been updated as follows:

    • The PDSA data entry and review process has been streamlined. Required fields have been visually highlighted.
    • Completed PDSA plans are copyable to new PDSAs for continued testing.
  • Driver Diagram:

The Driver Diagram authoring feature has been updated as follows:

    • The driver diagram auto-saves content in the aim, driver, and change idea authoring/editing panels. Authors do not save the diagram panel by panel, but once overall for the full driver diagram.

How is this different from the previous version?

  • PDSA
    • Required fields now show their required status. The Do data entry/data view pages have been combined for ease of use. Testers only respond to one overall prompt in the Study section.
    • Guided PDSA plans from completed PDSAs can now be copied by any tester in a NIC, and a new test run on the same plan.
  • Driver Diagram
    • Authoring/editing panels on the driver diagram now auto-save their content; instead of saving panel by panel, authors only manually save their overall edits once, by selecting the “Save” button at the top of the driver diagram authoring/editing page.
