The Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching released an enhanced version of the Networked Improvement Learning and Support (NILS) platform on January 30, 2020.
Enhancements in the January 2020 2.0 NILS Release:
-
Driver Diagram Authoring Tool:
The Driver Diagram Authoring Tool has been updated as follows:
- The tool has an editing “lock” function when a member is editing the driver diagram, which releases once the member has saved his/her edits and left the editing page; other members are then able to edit the diagram
How is this different from the previous version?
- Driver Diagram Authoring Tool
- The driver diagram’s new editing “lock” function allows only one member to edit the diagram at a time, so that multiple users’ edits are not accidentally overwritten when one member saves his/her own edits but not those of other users; the “lock” mechanism releases once a member saves his/her edits and leaves the editing page, or once an inactivity time-out has been reached.
