The Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching released an enhanced version of the Networked Improvement Learning and Support (NILS) platform on August 6, 2019.
Enhancements in the August 2019 2.0 NILS Release:
-
Activity Center:
The activity center feature has been updated as follows:
- Hub members can enable a “conditionally hide submissions” function on an activity, which hides submissions from an assignee’s view until that assignee has submitted his/her own response to the activity
-
Role Nomenclature:
The role label nomenclature has been updated as follows:
- Nomenclature for the “hub,” “lead,” and “content expert” labels can be set in accordance with a NIC’s preferred naming convention for these roles
How is this different from the previous version?
- Activity Center
- Hub members can now set an activity to only show submissions once an assignee has submitted his/her own post, so that assignees’ posts are not influenced by previous submissions.
- Role Nomenclature
- The default labels for “hub,” “lead,” and “content expert” can now be customized to show a NIC’s desired nomenclature for the roles.
