NILS 2.4.1 Release Notes - 3/1/19

The Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching released an enhanced version of the Networked Improvement Learning and Support (NILS) platform on March 1, 2019.

Enhancements in the March 2019 NILS Release:

  • Homepage:

    The Homepage has been updated as follows:

    • Pinned Posts
      • The Pinned Posts section now only shows posts from a member’s groups or assigned activities
    • Activities
      • Upcoming activities no longer show as ‘Open’ on the homepage
    • Events
      • Event cards now feature an ‘Event Details’ item to expand details about the event, including links to add the event to a member’s personal calendar, and a map to the event
      • Event cards now show the event’s time zone
  • Freeform PDSA:

    The Freeform PDSA has been updated as follows:

    • Clicking outside the Freeform PDSA box no longer closes the box; only clicking the ‘X’ on the box closes the box

How is this different from the previous version?

  • Homepage
    • The Pinned Posts section no longer shows pinned items from all groups and activities, but only from those groups or activities in which a member participates.
    • Upcoming activities no longer show on the homepage, so as not to create confusion about which activities are available for participation.
    • Event cards now feature the event’s time zone and an ‘Event Details’ link to expand the event information.
  • Freeform PDSA
    • The Freeform PDSA box now closes only when the closing ‘X’ is selected, so that testers no longer accidentally close and lose their PDSA data on a Freeform PDSA.
