Structural Group

Structural groups are work groups formed around a specific geographical site (Tennessee DOE, Shasta County, River Oak Charter School, etc.). These groups connect members within a site-specific context to facilitate centralized communication concerning local environments. They are “vertical” groups that cross-cut between levels of school administration (classrooms within schools within districts, etc.). Members can write posts in their group, comment on other members’ posts, upload documents, etc. Each structural group has a Lead who facilitates the group’s discussion and invites members to join the NIC.

Structural groups can be found on the NILS Directory.
