The purpose of these routines is to assist educators in carrying out their work by reducing the cognitive load associated with the performance of complex tasks. Such processes reduce undesirable variation in performance and free educators to better focus their attention, thereby advancing quality outcomes more reliably. High-leverage processes are attractive candidates for standard work.
