A change idea is an alteration to a system or process that requires testing through a PDSA cycle. The PDSA results examine the change idea’s efficacy in improving one or multiple drivers in a working theory of improvement.
On the NILS platform, change ideas are located beneath the drivers to which they relate. As seen below, a change idea to test through PDSAs is “Family Meeting Protocol.”
Change idea information is also displayed in the change idea page. Access this page by clicking on the change idea’s title from the Driver List or Driver Diagram. This page shows information about PDSAs run on the change idea, as well as options to start a Classic PDSA, Guided PDSA, or a Freeform PDSA.
Note: Depending on your NIC’s NILS instance, phase, and your network role, some items may appear differently in the menu bar.
